Welcome home! My dad arrived home this past weekend after his 6 week, 16,000 km motorcycle ride though North America! I made a post previously when my dad started his trip. He had hooked up his GPS so we could track him in real time across the continent. It sounds like quite the trip, he has pictures from every day and an overall summary on his website — I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Hi there Strohmers,
This is a Strohmer from Michigan. We know there are others of us out there and noticed your entries on the www., and would like to see the connections that you have to the “old country”.
I have contacted the “mathemeticians” (U of Iowa)who’s family is from Germany and wonder if you are from that branch? My family lived in Reichstag (Bohemia) until the late 1800’s running a tannery there for some 300 years. ( I have a picture card of that)
We are the “Detroit connection” arriving in the USA from Canada in the mid 1800’s.
If you would respond to this missive it would be welcomed.
YOur web site does tell some of the family and maybe there is a “geneology ” page containing more info?
Looking forward to your comments,
Jim Strohmer
