This past weekend, we celebrated Mo’s 21st birthday and had a really good time. Mo, being the joker he is, convinced my mom to make him a Barbie cake, after hearing about the elaborate cakes (Wonder Woman, Batman, Hulk Hogan, etc.) she baked us when we were younger. She agreed, but secretly prepared a hockey player cake. Mo had no idea, especially since she came home with pink icing (from the hockey player’s face and arms) on her shirt before the party. Mo was quite pleased and we had a ball teasing him!!!

Eric was informed he would be sent to Japan on business for two weeks in October. We decided to take this opportunity to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary in Japan and extended the trip to three weeks. Our itinerary included Shinjuku, Tokyo, Odawara, Hakone, Kamakura, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Himeji. We had a wonderful trip in a beautiful country inhabited by the most gracious people.
