We were invited to a nice family dinner on November 21st for Ken’s 70th Birthday, which was on the 25th. This was then followed by a celebration with Ken and Helen’s friends. Unfortunately for Ken, these friends had quite a sense of humour, which Ken bravely endured. What a great sport! A fun time was had by all!

Eric and I attended Priya and Dhaval’s wedding on August 3rd. The ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Church in Scarborough and the reception at Pavilion Royale in Mississauga. It was a beautiful event.

A noteworthy mention should go to Jessie for her amazing coconut pecan cake, which was to die for!!!

On June 16th, the Karen Shank Foundation is hosting a beach volleyball tournament with all proceeds going to the Eden Food Bank. I’ve been involved with the Karen Shank Foundation for some time now, our organization strives to raise awareness of the needs of our local communities in Halton and Peel.

Welcome home! My dad arrived home this past weekend after his 6 week, 16,000 km motorcycle ride though North America! I made a post previously when my dad started his trip. He had hooked up his GPS so we could track him in real time across the continent. It sounds like quite the trip, he has pictures from every day and an overall summary on his website — I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

My cousin Liz and her husband Don had a baby Saturday morning! Emily Elizabeth was born at 7:17 am, 7 lbs 15 1/2 ozs. Everyone is doing well.
