We took our first road trip this fall. We visited Sal, Sophie, and Caleb in Ottawa for the weekend. We had a great time with them and even got a chance to visit Dan.

This was Hailey’s first raksha bandhan, which was quite exciting, since she has a rakhee brother, Caleb. We had a fantastic time celebrating at great aunt Nimu’s place, even though Caleb was more interested in chewing his rakhee! Check out the pics.

This summer we took Hailey out for some fun day trips while Eric was on vacation. We hit the Oakville Jazz fest, which turned out to be a really relaxing afternoon with gorgeous weather. She seemed to enjoy the flowers, trees, and plants more than anything else. We also took a trip to St. Jacobs, our go to spot, and Ancaster to visit yia yia and uncle Ken.

She also enjoyed visits from aunt Karishma, great uncle Sargam, aunt Elaine, as well as a shopping trip with great aunt Janki and great aunt Nimu. Hailey took her first trip to yaya and uncle Ken’s house. She really enjoyed the new surroundings, especially the backyard. This girl just loves the outdoors. She then watched the soccer game while cuddling with yaya.

This year was the first time I was on the other end of the Mother’s Day celebrations and it was fantastic! Eric hid a cute card in Hailey’s crib for me to find in the morning.

Sal, Sophie, and Caleb were in town, so we had a family dinner to celebrate Sal’s birthday, which is on May 8th, and Mother’s Day!

As you can see in several pictures, Hailey enjoys her tummy time and makes quite an attempt to crawl. In fact, she just rolled over for the first time on May 20th, during her massage.

Nani and nana threw Hailey her second open house on April 10th. It was a fun night with a fantastic dinner! It was great to see the whole family and Hailey’s little cousin Caleb. It’s amazing how a new generation strengthens the family bond.

Yaya Helen threw Hailey an amazing open house on April 3rd. It was great to see the whole family! There were even enough little ones to have a kiddie corner! Of course Hailey decided to wait until all her guests were gone to flash us her biggest smile ever.
